Ahead of this November’s Xbox One release date, retailer GAME has confirmed that it has already sold out of the Xbox One Day One Edition console.
With launch day PS4 stocks having sold out weeks ago, GAME has revealed that Microsoft’s next-gen console has also hit its presale limit, with those looking to snap up the Xbox 360 follow-on on day one set to be left disappointed.
The Day One Edition Xbox One features the same hardware collection as the standard edition console although the new Xbox One controller will come inscribed with a day one message. An exclusive achievement and a free digital copy of FIFA 14 will also come bundled in the package.
"Unfortunately, we have now reached our limit for Xbox One Day One Edition console preorders,” an official GAME spokesperson has stated on the company’s website.”
They added: "The standard edition console is still available to order, although we can no longer guarantee you will receive yours on launch day. As soon as we can confirm when the standard edition is available we'll let you all know."
Although the Xbox One release date has yet to be officially narrowed down beyond this November, reports yesterday saw retailers’ stock listings claim that a November 8 Xbox One release date was on the cards. An Xbox One price has already been set at £429, £80 more than the PS4 Price.
With PS4 pre-orders having seen launch stock dry up at the start of this month, last week Sony confirmed that a UK PS4 release date will be held on November 29, two weeks after the console’s US arrival on November 15.
