It's not much of a surprise that HTC is working on a smartwatch really, is it? The firm, a rumour suggests, will have a watch on the market by summer.
At the moment it is scheduled to be called the HTC One Wear, says rumour site TK Tech News, which also showed off the Samsung Galaxy Prime and S5 Active handsets earlier this month. The watch will run on Google's Android Wear platform which is likely to see a full-blown launch at Google I/O at the end of June.
Like Motorola's 360 watch, the HTC will have a round face. Construction is said to be of either plastic or metal, with perhaps different price points to reflect the change of build quality. Given HTCs attention to design detail, we have to say we're quite excited about how this watch would look.
HTC has previously mentioned entering the smartwatch market, and said that it planned to fix many of the issues that current watches have. This was also at the time it said the One M8 would turn the company's fortunes around, and it wasn't wrong about that either.
