The Witcher 3's latest patch brings huge inventory improvements

Witcher 3

Yet another sizeable update is coming to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt this week, set to address to a number of issues players have been having.

The patch will also add a new movement response mode to Geralt and overhaul some aspects of the inventory system.

One of the major components of the patch is the inclusion of a new “stash” option.

Players will now have the ability to store items they don’t need at various locations across the world. Meaning you will no longer have to needlessly sell items just to make room in your inventory.

Crafting and alchemy ingredients will also no longer influence your inventory space, making the collection of rare ore and weird plants much, much easier.

Books and notes you’ve already read will be greyed out from now on too, so inventory management shouldn’t be such a nuisance.

Progression issues found in certain quest lines have also been fixed along with subtle improvements to horse behaviour and character movement.

CD Projekt Red have not disclosed how exactly these movement options work however, so we’ll have to find out for ourselves.

Of course, the patch will once again address performance and hardware problems for each platform.

Past patches have seen a gradual improvement in framerate and optimization, so hopefully this update will continue that trend.

The only downside to this colossal update is that we won’t be seeing any free DLC for The Witcher 3 this week.

Since its release the title has seen significant support in the form of free content and patches.

A more detailed breakdown of Update 1.07 will be available later this week.
