The police investigation into the TalkTalk hack is picking up pace as more arrests are made.
Another individual has been arrested in connection with the alleged data theft.
On Saturday, October 31, a 20-year-old male was arrested in south Staffordshire on suspicion of Computer Misuse Act offences.
The arrest was made by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Cyber Crime Unit, working alongside officers from the National Crime Agency.
However, the individual has since been released on bail until early March next year, pending further enquiries.
The man was apprehended as part of an investigation into a cybersecurity breach that saw the personal information of 1.2 million TalkTalk customers illegally accessed by hackers.
The data hoard included 21,000 bank account numbers and sort codes, 28,000 obscured credit and debit card details, and 15,000 customer dates of birth.

The bailed 20-year-old, who hasn’t been identified, is the third individual to be arrested over the TalkTalk attack.
On Thursday last week, a 16-year-old boy from Feltham was arrested, and bailed.
A 15-year-old boy from Northern Ireland was also arrested on the preceding Monday, and is currently on bail until November.
