Square Enix to hold own press conference at E3 2015

Square Enix has confirmed it will be holding a special E3 2015 press conference, suggesting it has some big announcements to make.

All Square Enix has to say so far is that its press conference will be held on June 16 at 9am somewhere in downtown LA.

That’s the spot Nintendo usually takes for its E3 Nintendo Direct, so it’ll be interesting to see if the two collide closer to June.

Although Square Enix is inviting journalists to its E3 2015 event, the publisher has also confirmed it will be living streaming the show via Twitch alongside YouTube.

Square Enix promises that it’ll be able to provide more details soon, but until then we’ll just have to speculate.

And speculate we will. The sheer fact Square Enix is holding a press conference – something it hasn’t done since 2012 when it announced its new-gen Luminous Engine – means the company has something massive up its sleeves.

We already know that Square Enix will show off its upcoming titles Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Just Cause 3. The company may even devote some time to Rise of the Tomb Raider – although we imagine Microsoft may keep that one for its own press conference.

But, it’s the unannounced ones that could be the real cause of the announcement.
