In all likelihood, we’re only a number of weeks shy of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and we now have the clearest look yet at the forthcoming, name skipping phablet release.
The prototype photos from Steve Hemmerstoffer of the prolific Nowhereelse.fr website were tweeted on Monday.
They appear to showcase the oft-rumoured curved display and the iris scanner, which would be a first for the series.
It also looks like Samsung is maintaining the premium metal and glass build which represented such a leap forward for the Galaxy Note 5 in 2015.
The leaks come after the publication of purported benchmarks on Monday, suggesting the device will have 4GB of RAM and the existing Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, rather than the 6GB, Snapdragon 823 combo rumoured in recent weeks.
While this isn’t the first time we’ve seen leaked images of Samsung’s planned release, these snaps are probably the best look yet.
Recent reports have suggested Samsung may bring the release forward to this month, weeks ahead of its usual announcement on the eve of the IFA tech show in Berlin.
