Hype is growing for Netflix’s upcoming movie Beasts of No Nation, so that’s probably why it’s going to end up in cinemas.

The online streaming service’s first-ever original feature film is going to launch in cinemas in the UK.

What’s more, it’ll be in the cinemas an entire week before it actually appears on Netflix itself.

It’s all thanks to a deal struck by Netflix with Curzon Cinemas, which specialises in independent and art house films.

Beasts of No Nation will first land in cinemas on October 9. However, it’s set to premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 8.

The Netflix release, meanwhile, is scheduled for October 16.

The film, which is directed by Cary Fukunaga, sees Edris Elba playing a warlord who forcefully enlists a teenage boy into childhood soldiering.

It’s based on a 2005 novel by Uzodinma Iweala about an African civil war.

The film has already received widespread critical acclaim after appearing at recent film festivals.

Netflix is also due to launch two more original films, both set for release after Beasts of No Nation.

The first is The Ridiculous Six, a parody western starring Adam Sandler, due for December this year.

The second is Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon II: The Green Legend, scheduled for early 2016.
