Home security is entering the smart home age thanks to the Myfox Home Alarm system, which is available to pre-order from today in America, Europe and the UK.
The system, which supports Android, iOS, IFTTT and includes Works with Nest certification, claims to take only ten minutes to install and is expandable to feature a large number of sensors depending on the size of your home.
Once installed, you can set up your friends and family on the system so that they're alerted to potential problems. While the system isn't HomeKit-enabled yet, Myfox has confirmed it will be in future – which makes sense given Apple is adding alarm system report in iOS 9.
It's an expandable system, too, and even features jamming detection to prevent smart burglers from intefeaing with the system using magic.

There are four main components to the Myfox Home Alarm system. One is the siren which, like the whole system, is wireless.
It works up to 200m away from the next main component, the wireless Link, and runs for up to two years on four Alkaline D batteries.
The Link uses 802.11n Wi-Fi and RF to communicate with your wireless devices and the final two parts of the system – the IntelliTAG door and window sensors and the personal Key Fob. The Link supports up to 50 IntelliTAGs, 50 key fobs and 2 relay links for extending the range of the system.
The IntelliTAGs simply stick to any potential entry point, alerting you to any attempts to break into your home. Myfox claims these tags can tell the difference between regular events, such as people knocking on the door or the wind, and genuine attempts to break in.
Once, triggered the siren sounds and notifications are sent to family and friends via the apps, SMS or email. The Key Fob, meanwhile, allows the system to tell when it's you or an authorised person entering the home.
It also acts as a simple controller for the system with four buttons that allow you to arm the system, un-arm the system, set off a panic alarm or activate the 'Night Mode' that protects you when you're at home.
The whole system, which includes the Siren, Link, one Key Fob and one IntelliTAG, costs £249. Additional IntelliTAGs cost £40 or £170 for a pack of five, while each extra key fob will cost £25. You can also add an optional security camera to the system for £170.
