Motorola might not break any records with its flagship X-series, but the company’s value-friendly Moto G line-up has always impressed.

Fortunately, you might not have long to wait for the next entry into the G series, with the Moto G 3 (2015) tipped to launch on 28 July.

Interestingly, the handset is rumoured to feature IPX7 certification, which means it will be water-resistant up to a depth of 1m for 30 minutes.

That’s according to claims made on Brazilian website Tecmundo, which were accompanied by a roster of suggested Moto G 3 specs too.

According to the report, we’ll see a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 chip paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

A second, more expensive version of the device with 2GB of RAM and a 16GB storage capacity has also been cited.

Other mentions include a 5in 720p display, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel selfie shooter and a 2,470mAh battery.

Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but we’d imagine the Moto G 3 will cost around £150, in line with previous G-series devices.
