Yet more Sony Xperia Z details and images have leaked ahead of its official release at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas tomorrow.

On Saturday, stills from an official-looking promotional video of Sony's new Android flagship device emerged through Chinese sources Weibo and ePrice. These grant a good look at the Sony Xperia Z's square design, as well as confirming a few of its headline features.

One shot appears to confirm that the Sony Xperia Z will be water-resistant - a popular feature for many Japanese-produced smartphone handsets these days.

Another still boasts of the Sony Xperia Z's 13-megapixel Exmor RS camera having high dynamic range (HDR) capabilities when taking stills and shooting video. It's also revealed that the phone will have a "Full HD Reality Display" with an OptiContrast panel, which is believed to be a 5-inch 1080p number.

We're expecting a quad-core Qualcomm CPU to be running the thing.

Following this leak came another, slightly more embarrassing one from Sony. This snap, as shared with Engadget, was taken at CES 2013. The trouble is, it's not set to make an official appearance until Sony's 1am (GMT) press conference. Oops.

While this image doesn't really shed any new light on the Sony Xperia Z, it does at least provide solid confirmation that it exists, and that it's set to take a bow very soon indeed. We'll bring you the lowdown once Sony has put everyone - not least itself - out of their misery and officially launched the thing.
