Logitech has unveiled its Logitech G line of PC gaming accessories, including four new gaming mice, two specially designed keyboards and a duo of gaming headsets.

The culmination of studies into the way gamers interact with their PC gaming peripherals, the Logitech G line has been upgraded to provide increased durability,  fingerprint-resistant coatings, and non-stick surfaces for palms sweaty from the excitement of PC gaming.

“With Logitech G, we put our passion for science to work for you,” said general manager of the Logitech gaming business group, Ehtisham Rabbani. “Just as gamers are compelled to beat levels, our engineers are compelled to test scientific theories.”

“For close to 20 years the relentless pursuit of what’s next has been our game – and we’re pretty darn good at it. With Logitech G we will continue to push the limits of speed, precision, reliability – even intuitiveness. We do it because gamers expect us to push the limits as far as they do.”

Logitech G Line Features

All four new gaming mice in the Logitech G line are designed for optimum comfort when used for marathon gaming sessions. Equipped with a durable hydrophobic coating, the Logitech G mice range stops sweaty palms sticking to them during intensive use and has dry grip sections on their sides for a steady and secure hand.

The top of the range Logitech G700s Rechargeable Gaming Mouse is wireless but doesn’t loose any of the report rate offered by a wired mouse. Retailing at £89.99, the Logitech G700s features 13 programmable control buttons for personalised gaming options via the free-to-download Logitech Gaming Software (LGS).

The Logitech G500s Laser Gaming Mouse is claimed to be perfect for FPS fans. Featuring a hyper-fast scroll wheel and the ability to adjust the weight and centre of gravity by up to 27g, the laser mouse can switch between 200DPI up to 8200DPI to change between precise targeting and lightning-fast manoeuvres. The Logitech G500s also has 10 customisable control buttons via LGS and will go on sale for £59.99.

Packing Logitech’s Delta Zero sensor technology, the Logitech G400s Optical Gaming Mouse is capable of highly accurate cursor control, suitable for fast-paced FPS gaming. Offering multiple DPI settings accessible via buttons situated above and below the scroll wheel, the optical mouse also features 8 customisable control buttons within its £49.99 RPP.

Filling in the lower end of the price bracket, the Logitech G100s Optical Gaming Mouse is supposedly created for RTS and MOBA games. With an increased durability, the optical mouse is designed for heavy clicking and should have a 20 million click lifespan for its £34.99 price tag. It includes the same Delta Zero technology as the Logitech G400s too, for cursor accuracy.

The two new gaming keyboards offer the same durability design features as the mice range and a GamePanel LCD display built-in, feeding the user with a steady customisable feed of vital information. Using LGS, the Logitech G19s Gaming Keyboard has 12 programmable G-Keys, and the Logitech G510s Gaming Keyboard has 18. The latter will retail for £99.99. The Logitech G19s also packs 2 USB 2.0 ports and offers anti-ghosting over 26 keys, so will launch for the RRP of £179.99.

The higher end Logitech G430 Surround Sound Gaming Headset plays host to Dolby Headphone 7.1 surround sound technology for immersive 360 degree game audio. The headset also provides a noise-cancelling mic that is capable of filtering out background noise so only the user’s voice is audible. The Logitech G430 will ship for £69.99, whilst the lower entry Logitech G230 Stereo Gaming Headset will launch for £54.99. The Logitech G230 headset has 40mm neodymium drivers for quality sound, and the same flexible noise-cancelling mic as the pricier headset. Both pairs have washable ear cups and a comfortable fit for long gaming sessions.

Logitech G Line Release Date and Price
All of the Logitech G Line devices are set for a US release date of April 2013. European PC gamers can get their hands on the kit from the beginning of May.
