The second international trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has arrived and it brings another look at an iconic villain and greater insight into the origin of the franchise’s newest hero.
*POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW*
The 2-minute trailer commences with a window into our protagonist Jyn Erso’s seemingly tumultuous upbringing, with her father vowing “whatever I do, I do it to protect you," before he's scooped up by the Empire.

In the next scene, a lady (quite possibly her mother) hands her a Kyber crystal trinket, instructing her to “Trust The Force." The proves she's aware of it from a young age, but we're not sure it is 'with her' quite yet.
Moving on, as it turns out, Jyn's old fella got a little sidetracked from protecting his daughter, by building the bloody The Death Star for the Empire.
We're to assume from his earlier abduction that he was not a willing participant in the construction project.
Now, with the ultimate weapon approaching completion, he's decided to get the word out and has called upon his offspring to assist with its destruction.
As the trailer moves on we learn how the Episode IV prequel/spin-off got its title and there’s a longer extended look newly Sithed-up Darth Vader towards the end.
Rogue One will be out in the UK on December 15. You can see the international trailer below.
