Halo 5: Guardians skins coming to Minecraft: Xbox Edition

Halo 5: Guardians skins and characters are coming to Minecraft: Xbox Edition on October 23

To celebrate the launch of Halo 5: Guardians next week, a selection of unique character skins are making their way to Minecraft: Xbox Edition.

The skins will include both Fireteam Osiris and Blue Team, two squads of Spartans featured in the upcoming first-person shooter.

All of the Halo 5 skins will be available as a free update for those who own the Halo mash-up pack on Xbox One or Xbox 360.

If you don’t own the pack then you can purchase it for £2.70 or buy the skins separately from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Characters in the pack include Master Chief, Fredric, Kelly, Linda, Locke, Buck, Tanaka and Vale. Yeah, we don’t know half of those either.

The Halo mash-up pack includes a total of 40 character skins and 31 musical tracks from the science fiction franchise.

You also gain access to a number of pre-made game worlds based on popular locations from each game.

This isn’t the first time a popular franchise has been worked into Minecraft, others include Elders Scrolls: Skyrim, Mass Effect and a variety of Sony exclusive characters.

Halo 5: Guardians is the latest entry in the long running franchise, coming exclusively to the Xbox One on October 27.

Guardians will bring a host of new multiplayer modes to the franchise as well as a squad based single-player campaign.
