With a Halo game having already been confirmed for the upcoming Xbox One console, latest teaser images have revealed the eagerly awaited title will be formally known as Halo 5.
With the E3 confirmation of the forthcoming game having revealed only that the release would be part of the hugely popular Halo franchise, omitting a final name, images appearing via the Facebook page of the company responsible for the Halo trailer have now confirmed the game as Halo 5.
Making the announcement with a reworked version of the Halo 5 trailer, Axis Animation included an image of the new Halo 5 branding, confirming what was widely believed to be the title for the future release.
“The new work just keeps on coming. Check out our trailer for Halo on Xbox One,” the company stated in launching the Halo 5 confirming trailer.
Although the Halo 5 release will not be one of the Xbox One launch titles, developer 343 Industries has confirmed that the Xbox One published game will be made available for the next-gen console during 2014.
Although 343 or publisher Microsoft have yet to formally acknowledge the game as Halo 5, further details of the game were prematurely leaked via the Microsoft website recently before being hastily removed.
The teased details stated: “Halo for Xbox One takes the now-legendary saga to new heights and is one of the most anticipated games for the new console.”
The leaks added: “In possession of a mysterious data chip, Petty Officer John-117, aka Master Chief, confronts a new battery of challenges and tests in a Herculean effort to stay alive in a galaxy where sentient life is mercilessly hunted. Pre-order the next chapter in the wildly popular Halo series designed exclusively for Xbox One.”
