Google’s new app asks ‘Who’s Down?’

by

Google Who's Down

There was a time during our youth, when we’d have to go and knock on a mate’s front door to see if they wanted to hang out.

Now Google wants to save you the walk, the phone call and the text message with a new app that poses the age old question of “Who’s Down?”

The new Android app, which is invite-only right now, allows users to see which of their is indeed down for some sort of activity.

Users can adjust their own status to inform their pals of their state of down-ness and add a status message to offer some insight into what they might be down for.

If one or more friends are down (not in an upset kinda way) they can start a group chat and arrange something to do with the down time.

Those who are not down, will appear in the 'not down' section.

The app is restricted to college students right now, which is handy because they clearly don’t have the time in their busy lives to make calls or texts to their friends.

No word yet when everyone else will be able to jump aboard the app. Will you be down when it does?
