Fallout 4 development is "basically done" according to developer Bethesda.

So apparently, development for Bethesda's upcoming RPG is "basically done", meaning we shouldn't have any release date delays for Fallout 4.

According to Bethesda's Marketing VP Pete Hines, it's too late to implement any fan-requested features because the game is nearly done.

Instead, Bethesda is spending the last few months fixing bugs and applying the finish polish to the game.

"Let's be honest, [right now] it doesn't matter what anybody wants for a feature in Fallout 4," said Hines to GameSpot. "The game is basically done. It was by and large done before we announced it, in terms of the features going in."

"You're not adding new features in May, June, July in the year you're releasing; you're trying to get everything fixed."

Hines did add that this doesn't mean Bethesda isn't listening to fan feedback, as the developer actually pours over hte forum and reviews for Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in order to make sure Fallout 4 avoids past mistakes.

"All of that stuff is important. A good developer knows how to take all that and figure out how to address it," said Hines. "You can do anything, you just can't do everything. So you have to be able to prioritise and figure out what are the big wins, what are the challenges you're going to tackle, and what are the things you just don't have the bandwidth to take on."

The Fallout 4 release date is currently set for November 10 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It definitely sounds like the game is on track for that release date too, so we've got everything crossed for no last minute delays.
