Facebook Instant articles arrive for all Android users

Facebook has announced the Instant Articles feature is now rolling out to Android devices, following its recent launch for iPhone users.

The tool, which delivers entire articles within the news feed without browsing to the source, is now available on all Google-powered Android devices.

Users are able to read articles, watch videos, see immersive photos and more and Facebook has announced that 350 publishers are already on board around the globe.

In the UK the publishing partners are as follows: “90 Minutes, BBC, Daily Mail, The Economist, The Guardian, Hearst UK, The Huffington Post UK, The Independent, London Evening Standard, Manchester Evening News, Metro UK, The Mirror, Sky News, Sky Sports, The Sun, The Telegraph, Time Inc. UK, Wales Online.”

The release, which follows a period of beta testing, will allow Facebook users to share instant articles with their friends “more often they do with standard web articles.”
