With Mass Effect Andromeda not arriving until 2017, fans of the series have been clamouring for something to play in the meantime, perhaps in the form of a remaster of the original trilogy.
Unfortunately, EA boss Peter Moore has killed our collective dreams by confirming that won't be happening.
"We just feel like we want to go forward. There’s a little thing called Mass Effect Andromeda that we’re totally focused on at BioWare, and it’s going to be magnificent. Anything that distracts from that…’, Moore said in an IGN video interview.
"Do we have teams lying around that are doing nothing right now, that can go and? No, we don’t. We want to focus on the future."
Bioware had originally hinted that a trilogy remaster was a possibility, but now it seems hopes of getting to replay Commander Shepherd's epic quest in full HD have all but faded.
