Bravely Second: End Layer is coming to Europe this February

Bravely Second: End Layer will be coming to Nintendo 3DS in Europe on 26 February 2016.

Bravely Default was a surprise hit when it launched back in 2013, providing 3DS owners with a lengthy JRPG reminiscent of older Final Fantasy titles.

Now its sequel, Bravely Second: End Layer, has been confirmed for release in Europe. Square Enix has announced that the game will launch on 26 February.

The “epic role-playing adventure” will launch with a limited collector’s edition and a playable “prelude adventure” demo.

Acting as a direct sequel to the previous game, Bravely Second will feature returning characters as they battle through “foreboding dungeons” and “fearsome enemies.”

The game’s description shines a little more light on what to expect:

“The story begins when the evil Kaiser Oblivion abducts Agnès Oblige, the heroine of Bravely Default, and her bodyguard Yew Geneolgia pledges to rescue her from the kaiser’s Skyhold, an impregnable fortress floating high over Eternia.”

“Along the way, Yew will need to team up with Magnolia Arch and other new faces, plus a few returning heroes such as Edea Lee and Tiz Arrior, to survive foreboding dungeons and conquer fearsome enemies.”

The Deluxe Collector’s Edition includes an Agnes mini-figure, original soundtrack CD and a 250-page artbook.

Hopefully this edition’s figurine is a little less terrifying than the original’s monstrosity. It still gives us nightmares.

Bravely Second: End Layer will launch on 26 February 2016, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.

The playable demo will be available from 11 February on the Nintendo eShop.
