All our testing uses a variety of manual run throughs and automated timedemos, but regardless of which test method is used, we monitor all tests to ensure performance is consistent. Where there are spurious results or dips in performance we will note this. We also do multiple run throughs then take the average of these and report that figure to you. The test setup is as follows:

Great card
26th July 2011, By Daniel Chatfield
I managed to get this card new for £260 (includes a 25% discount I had after a product blew up on me). For that price it is a clear winner - Outstanding performance (COD4 at 1080p at 150FPS). I have yet to find a game that I haven't been able to max out the graphics and for it to be fine.
The card is noisy (even when idle) but no more than one would expect for such a high end card.
It is power hungry - I wouldn't recommend using a power supply under 850w with it.
Obviously this card will only work properly in a system where the other components are high end.
