While the Medion is faster than your typical netbook, it's beaten by Acer's previous single-core CULV laptop and the dual-core AMD processor in the Acer Ferrari One. It does the job, but don't expect a great deal of freedom.
Andy, the new Dell Inspiron 13z that I ordered for my Wife (and that should arrive tomorrow) is a 13.3" SU4100 CULV notebook that includes an optical drive, and 512M GeForce G 105M NVidia Graphics, with HDMI output, it cost only £50 more than this tacky looking Medion, and I hope should run rings around it performance wise too.
