There is no significant advantage in recorded detail over the 8.1MP NV8.

The lens does produce some barrel distortion at wide angle.

In this crop from the image above, centre sharpness is good, but there is visible noise in the darker areas.

The Schneider Kreuznach lens produces good corner sharpness, but there is some chromatic aberration.
