There is also as a comparison Dell's new Inspiron 11z, which (as with the Samsung) costs £399 (and that means that you can -actually buy it- for that price rather than having to hunt it down), comes with an 11" screen at the same resolution, plus a proper CPU. Windows 7 too!

Still think products like the Acer 1810T range is way better for nearly the same money.

Have the superior CULV SU4100 dual core proc, HD video playback, 4Gbyte RAM, good battery life etc. Has not been available in UK but appears to be available through Play at the mo.

Have tested BluRay playback (using mounted ISO) and works a treat on the almost identical larger 3810T.

I want to know what the performance difference between a 1810T and an ion netbook (N270 or 330), meaning which is more powerful / (ion better for games etc, whilst better office performance from the CULV). Can get the 1810T at pc world (even in store - went to have a look @ the weekend - very nice looking - waiting for the 1820P tablet version). Amazon had a few but may be out of stock.

No mention of the keyboard - did they really switch the windows menu key to the other side of the space bar or is this just some library image? In comparison to a NC10 or almost any other keyboard - is it because it doubles up as the Fn key? Doesn't it make all the usual windows key short cuts less intuitive?
