We immediately fell in love with the HT-WS1G's unique design, in particular the touch-sensitive controls and wireless subwoofer, which makes for a neat, cable-free installation. It's supremely stylish as most Samsung products are, and while its sound quality is generally impressive, it's not quite powerful or expansive enough to challenge the more potent movie performance of soundbars from B&W, Denon and Marantz. It could also do with a few more connections on the back, but if you can live with these drawbacks then this is a great-value way of upgrading from your TV's speakers.Read full review
OK, you may think I'm being a bit picky here but I'm on this site everyday because I think that it's well run but when I see things like 'Click to enlarge' on a picture of an item like this one I expect to see a larger picture, not just the same one opened in a new window exactly the same size. It may seem like a minor point but it just smacks of lack of editorial vigilance. I know you probably think that I'm a bit sad but for devotees of this site these small points do matter because I wanted to see the item close up. Believe me - things like this make you jump to Amazon or the like and maybe next time go to Amazon straight away believing that that's a reliable site. Small, picky point maybe, but maybe important in these days of technology site competiition.
What about the power output of this system? Does anybody know how it compares to the Yamaha YAS-71? I know its a bit more but is the Yamaha system considerably better?
@ducati900fe - Not sure what you're talking about? In fact, you're wrong. All the click to enlarge photos open up as larger versions of the original. No lack of editorial vigilance here I'm afraid. Are you sure it's just not your browser automatically resizing the larger photos to fit into your window?
For a spanner like me, I have a TY with a load of devices attached. Will the audio from all of these run through the optical out on my Tv to the sound bar?
Same question as Marko, I would like to connect the soundbar via optical straight to my Samsung TV. I have sky + HD box & PS3 connected via HDMI, will I get surround sound from these devices ???
