I have several ReadyNAS NVX units, for home network storage & media streaming, and for the office as well (connected to the Windows AD for security).
If you buy a unit with Terabyte drives, they use Seagate Enterprise hard drives, deemed to be more reliable than standard consumer drives.
Nonetheless, never use RAID0 as that does NOT protect against hard drive failures; use X-RAID2 (which will utilize RAID1 with 2 drives or RAID5 with 3 or 4 drives).
