WorkSung is an interesting app that aims to show remote workers the best spots nearby where they can use their laptop. The app provides information not just on whether Wi-Fi is available, but also lets you know whether there are power points that you can use and even what the noise level is like.
However, the app is still in beta at the moment and there are several issues that need to be addressed. Pinch to zoom doesn’t seem to be supported in the map view and the maps are generally slow to redraw as you zoom in and out. The app also feels quite sluggish when you switch between the various features. Great idea, but demands a bit too much patience at present.
WorkSnug could prove to be a hugely useful app for remote workers in the future, but the software needs a lot of work before it’ll become a must-have.
