EE Harrier Mini – Battery Life
The Harrier Mini has a 2000mAh battery, and although that doesn’t sound all that big, it’s enough for a phone of this level.
You have to remember, this phone only has a 4.7-inch 720p screen and a low-end processor, neither of which are too demanding. The battery charges from critical to full in just over two hours and that full charge managed to give us two day’s use without turning the phone off at night and without any top up charges.
Listening to music consumed about 5% for every hour of use, web browsing (not streaming) seemed to do about the same. Gaming and watching videos had a greater impact on the battery, dropping about 10% every hour.
When idle, the battery of the Harrier Mini barely moves at all, which suggests there aren’t any power-hungry processes running behind the scenes. That’s a good thing. Combined with the comprehensive power-saving tools that come with Android 5.0, this phone is a solid performer in the longevity stakes. EE Harrier Mini owners should rarely be caught short and in desperate need of a charger.
Should I buy the EE Harrier Mini?
The Harrier Mini is on a par with some of the best phones at this price range. It has some great specs and a long-lasting battery that should see you through two days on a single charge.
If you aren’t put off by the carrier branding – and you shouldn’t be – the EE Harrier Mini is one of the better options available. For under £100, this phone offers fast internet connectivity with 4G and WiFi Calling, not many phones have that level of connectivity yet, so that’s definitely an advantage.
It’s not perfect of course. Performance-wise it has its moments and we’d have preferred the screen to be a little brighter. Overall, EE does a great job with a cheap phone that ticks the most important boxes.

Verdict
What it lacks a little in design, it makes up for in features. The EE Harrier Mini is a modern affordable phone with great connectivity, and a long-lasting battery. It doesn’t get much better than this at this price.
