ZTE Tempo Go handset arrives in US running Android Go Oreo
ZTE has announced its Android Go phone, which is actually the most affordable Android Oreo phone yet.
The ZTE Tempo Go handset costs $80 and is now on sale in the United States (via Android Police) running the Oreo version of Google’s lightweight mobile OS.
Given Android Go is designed for lower-end hardware you won’t be getting too much in terms of specs.
There’s a 5-inch display with a 480 x 854 resolution, which is absolutely nothing to write home, about even for $80.
There’s a 1.1GHz Qualcomm 210 processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM. Cameras are 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel respectively.

There’s 8GB of storage with microSD compatibility, while the 2,200mAh battery should be plenty to sustain this handset. Oh, and there’s a 3.5mm jack too.
However, the specs aren’t the key here, it’s the ability to get Android functioning at a high-level. Google has released a host of lightweight versions of its core apps in order to facilitate the operating system.
We’re not sure whether this handset will be making it to the UK, but we’ll keep you posted.
