Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner remaster is coming this September with VR support

Konami has announced the release date for Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner – Mars for PS4 and PC.

Fans of the cult classic mech series can revisit one of its finest entries when this remaster launches on September 7, 2018 with a slew of new improvements and features.

Players can expect enhanced visuals capable of far better performance and resolutions when compared to the original release. Those with the right hardware can even run things in 4K.

In terms of new features, you can check out the full list of upcoming additions below:  

  • Optional “Pro Mode” controller setup allows for faster selection of sub-weapons to help engage in rapid-fire combat
  • “Very Easy” difficulty setting offers an alternative option for players who wish to enjoy the cinematic experience of the game’s story or are new to VR
  • Various training modules and a mini-map

VR content suitable for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive will also be available in the form of a 3D Hanger and Model Viewer so you can ogle the machines up-close.

Those who pre-order Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner – Mars ahead of its release will receive a special theme and a collection of avatars on PS4. 

Konami has announced that it will be releasing a 4K and VR demo for the game ahead of its release on the PlayStation Store. A date for this hasn’t been confirmed.
