Your porn-viewing habits could soon be splashed across the internet

Man the panic stations, this is not a drill. We repeat, THIS. IS. NOT. A. DRILL
One of the world’s biggest porn sites, xHamster, has reportedly been hacked, with hundreds of thousands of users’ detailed said to have been compromised.
According to tech site Motherboard, usernames, email addresses and passwords of some 380,000 registered users of the free porn site have been compromised, meaning the content they’ve viewed could also have been unearthed. Uh oh.
Although this sounds like a big figure, it’s just a fraction of the 12 million registered users, and a small percentage of the near 1 billion hits the site receives per month.
With millions of users visiting the site each and every day, xHamster is currently the 67th most popular website in the world.
Although the site is urging users to check their accounts and change their passwords immediately, they have reassured users that passwords have been encrypted.
“The passwords of all xHamster users are properly encrypted, so it is almost impossible to hack them,” an xHamster spokesperson told Motherboard.
“Thus, all the passwords are safe and the users’ data secured,” they added.
So, who’s been hit by the hack? Well, surprisingly, it doesn’t appear to just be average users.
According to the reports, the database of hacked user details includes 30 accounts link to government bodies in the UK and US, as well as 40 US Army-registered addresses.
The latest in a recent spate of high-profile attacks on adult sites, earlier this year, more than 400 million users have account details pinched from sex and swinger community FriendFinderNetwork.
