Your GoPro Hero camera is about to get way more functional

The GoPro range of action cameras are already some of the most versatile and widely used capture devices on the planet Earth. Thanks to the newly-announced Developer Program things are about to get a lot more interesting.
The firm says more than 100 partner developers are already on board, with a focus on mobile app integration and inter-operability with other pieces of equipment.
There’ll also be an official standard for “accurate and reliable” mounts, tripods and accessories, which will mean more weird and wonderful ways to attach the action camera to various objects.
Among the first companies on board is Fisher Price, which has designed kid-proof housings to add to its array of walkers and vehicles.
