You can play The Elder Scrolls Online for free on Xbox this weekend
If you’re looking for something different to play on your Xbox One this weekend, Microsoft has your back. From November 2 through November 5, all Xbox One owners with an Xbox Live Gold subscription can download The Elder Scrolls Online for free.
Just like when playing any of the titles that have been selected for Microsoft’s Free Weekend promotion in the past, players can earn Achievements in The Elder Scrolls Online and best of all, any progress they make will be saved to the cloud should they decide to purchase the game in the future.
To encourage customers to hand over their hard-earned cash at the end of the trial period, the firm has discounted almost all digital versions of – and bundles containing – The Elder Scrolls Online on the Microsoft Store, resulting in the price of a standard copy dropping down to just £7.50 (50% off).
We reviewed The Elder Scrolls Online when it first launched for PC back in 2014 and awarded it an impressive score of 4/5. It’s filled to the brim with excellent narrative-led quests, though we were left wanting a more when it came to a solo gameplay experience. For less than a tenner though, you can’t go wrong.
