There’s no doubt Samsung’s latest wearable offering, the Gear S3, was a particularly classy offering, even if it was a tad on the bulky side.
The large form factor makes the Gear S3 slightly uncomfortable, especially when exercising, but now gold-plating specialist De Billas is offering to make up for the bulk with some added class of its own.
The company is offering a special 24K gold-plated version of Samsung’s smartwatch, and it’s not quite as pricey as you might expect.

Available over on the US Amazon site, the 24K Gold Samsung Gear S3 Classic will run you $599 (around £476), plus the $4.49 for shipping, which is still a hefty sum.
But as SamMobile points out, a 24K gold Galaxy S7 Edge was previously being sold by Karalux at launch for $1,903.
Samsung released two versions of its Gear S3, with the other ‘Frontier’ model being geared towards those with more active lifestyles.
The Frontier model doesn’t seem to have been given the gold-plating treatement, but considering the Classic was designed to evoke the look of a classic timepiece, the gold undoubtedly suits this model more.
De Billas describes the watch as an “original Samsung Gear S3 Watch (Newest Model) stainless steel customized and professionally gold plated by De Billas with an industrial grade of authentic 24 Karat Gold.”
The watch also comes with a black leather 24K gold-plated buckle band and the watch charger, which can also be gold-plated for an additional fee.
If you’re tempted by De Billas’ offer, be warned Samsung may well choose not to honour the warranty if you do end up buying and breaking the gold-plated S3, as De Billas isn’t affiliated with Sammy at all.
