You can customise your new Xbox One S in any colour – for a price

To paraphrase Henry Ford, you can have the new Xbox One S in any colour you want, as long as it’s white (or a special edition model).

If you’re willing to splash a little extra cash out, though, you can customise Microsoft’s new, smaller console to be pretty much any colour that you want.

ColorWare has announced that it’s offering a full colour customisation service for the Xbox One S. Head on over to the company’s website and you’ll find you’re able to set the colour of each element of the console, including the body, the bottom, the eject button, the stand, and the controller (front and back).

In each case it’s possible to pick from 29 solid shades and the same number of metallic shades. You then choose between a gloss and a matte finish, and you’re away.

The only trouble is, it costs rather a lot of money. If you supply the console yourself, it will set you back $249 (around £187). Or, you could have ColorWare supply the console for a cool $649 (£487).

Of course, this is a US company we’re talking about, so shipping to the UK or Europe will cost you extra. I punched in a delivery of the full console package to Southend to see how much it would cost, and the answer was an extra $156.36 (£117) on top of the normal price. Ouch.

Still, if you insist on personalising your consoles, ColorWare’s work does undoubtedly look pretty cool.
