Netflix already has a hold on the TV viewing of millions of viewers, but it’s now looking to lock down your whole evening – and possibly your love life.
The company has released schematics for a dedicated button that can ready you up for a night of Netflixery.

So how does it work? Well you’ll need to be a little tech savvy to build it, but the final result could be a serious boon to your Netflix-and-chill sessions.
The device is powered by a Particle Core – that’s an Arduino-friendly development board that supports Wi-Fi connections.
The box also contains a battery, some LEDs, and an IR transmitter to signal your TV.
To get the setup to work, you’ll also need to pick up some Philips Hue lightbulbs, a TV that supports Netflix buttons, and an app that will turn your Android phone to silent.
The lengthy process of creating this device is only for the most committed Netflix-and-chill devotees, but if you’re going to try your hand at the device, let us know how it goes in the comments.
