Yoshi’s Woolly World release date confirmed for June 26

Nintendo has confirmed the Yoshi’s Woolly World release date will occur on June 26.

During tonight’s Nintendo Direct event, Nintendo revealed that you’ll finally be able to play with the knitted Yoshi in this Wii U exclusive title in June.

Although we have to wait until June to play the game, at least we now have an exact release date for the yarn adventure.

Yoshi’s Woolly World sees a knitted Yoshi explore a world that’s just as woolly as he is. But although he’s a knitted version of himself, he’s still got the same egg-throwing, tongue poking powers as before – just with a woolly theme.

During the Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo went on to detail the game’s Mellow Mode. This is a lower difficulty mode for the game that offers younger or more inexperienced players a winged Yoshi, making the game easier to play.

You can switch between the Mellow Mode and the Classic Mode at any time through the Pause Menu, meaning if you get stuck on Classic Mode there might be a way through with Mellow.

Nintendo also revealed that it will release three knitted Yoshi amiibo figures alongside the game in June – arriving in Pink, Blue and the Classic Green.

These offer the same NFC amiibo functionality but with a squishy yarn figurine rather than the hard plastic.
