It’s easy to forget that Amazon’s efforts to box off global commerce started with a humble online bookstore that probably put the one in your town out of business.
Now the company sells everything, even delivering groceries in some parts of the world, there seems little for it left to conquer.
Especially now it has started selling cars.
The company has come to terms with Fiat and will sell automobiles through its Italian website, Amazon.it.

Initially, it’ll be limited to three models, the Fiat 500, 500L and Fiat Panda.
“The time has arrived to give consumers a new, more efficient and transparent way to choose a new vehicle,” said Gianluca Italia of Fiat Chrysler said (via Reuters).
Customers who use Amazon will still have to their local dealer in order to pick up the car, it won’t arrive a couple of days later through Amazon Prime.
