Xbox One TV DVR functionality coming 2016

Microsoft has confirmed Xbox One TV DVR functionality will arrive in 2016, much to fans’ delight.

During its Xbox Gamescom press conference, Microsoft revealed that TV DVR support is coming to the Xbox One next year.

Xbox One TV DVR support will allow you to record free to air TV via the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner and cable TV.

It will also let you schedule recordings and take your shows on the go via Windows 10.

What’s great is that the TV DVR feature can record shows even while you’re in the middle of playing a game.

Plus, you’ll be able to schedule recording if you use Instant On on your Xbox One for letting you record even when not at home.

Within the OneGuide, you can find all the TV shows or even movies you’ve recorded within the new DVR section.

What’s more is that with Windows 10, you can stream all the TV shows stored on your Xbox One directly to your PC.

You can even download them for offline watching, meaning you won’t need an internet connection to catch up on the latest episodes.

The Xbox One TV DVR functionality will be a subscription-free service for all Xbox One owners.

At the moment it is pencilled in for an unknown release date lying somewhere in 2016.
