Xbox One Stock: GAME offers ‘thousands’ of additional pre-Christmas consoles

Bringing a bit of Christmas cheer to eager gamers and exasperated parents, retailer GAME has confirmed it as ‘thousands’ of additional Xbox One consoles available for pre-Christmas delivery.

With stock shortages of Microsoft’s recently released next-gen console plaguing a number of retailers and causing pre-Christmas shopping panic, GAME has announced it has received new  stock ahead of the festive period.

GAME has worked closely with Microsoft and have arranged for thousands of extra Xbox One consoles to arrive in GAME stores in the next few days, from today, meaning that gamers will still be able to get their hands on a console for Christmas,” the retailer announced in an official statement.

Despite suggesting that it was receiving ‘thousands’ of additional Xbox One consoles in time for Christmas, the retailer warned it didn’t expect stock to hand around for long.

“Hurry, these will go quickly,” the retailer warned wannabe Xbox One owners.

Although offering additional Xbox One consoles, GAME’s online outlet is currently only offering the console as part of a bundle deal.

Where the console’s standalone price has been set at £429, the cheapest Xbox One bundle available through GAME costs £520 and see the gamer packaged alongside copies of Forza 5 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Earlier this month Microsoft announced that 2 million Xbox One consoles had been sold during the PS4 rival’s opening 18 days on global sale.
