Xbox One Elite Wireless controller confirmed
Microsoft has announced a brand new Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller that takes gaming to the next level.
Although a new Xbox One controller with 3.5mm headphone jack was revealed earlier this month, we had no idea that this was coming.
The Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller is the ultimate gamer pad with a tonne of new features.
It’s what Xbox is saying will offer elite performance.
In terms of what’s new, you will recognise the familiar design of the standard Xbox One controller but with key new additions.
The D-Pad has been replaced by a metallic silver pad not dissimilar to that found on the Steam Controller. This is aimed at giving arcade fighter fans a lot more control over their moves and everyone else increased control.
Around the back of the controller there are four new buttons that can be utilised for racing games – making use of the Xbox One’s already enhanced position with its rumble triggers. The triggers have been improved too for better feedback.

What’s also interesting about the new Elite Controller is that it is apparently completely customisable.
You’ll be able to swap out all the analogue sticks, D-Pad and new rear triggers to get the ultimate Xbox One controller for your play style.
What we really want to know of course is how much it’s going to cost.
Well, there’s no word on that at the moment, but at least we know that you’ll be able to get one sometime this autumn.
Just in time for Halo 5: Guardians basically.
Microsoft has also confirmed several new features for the Xbox One, including Xbox 360 game backward compatibility.
