Xbox One Elite Controller pre-orders cancelled at Amazon after pricing error

Amazon UK has cancelled pre-orders for the upcoming Xbox One Elite Controller due to a pricing error.
People who tried to pre-order the Xbox One Elite Controller on Amazon UK at a hugely discounted price last week are going to be sorely disappointed.
Emails are being sent out now declaring that those trying to cash in on the pricing error have had their pre-orders cancelled, as reported by SegmentNext.
Amazon UK last week was offering the high-end Xbox One controllers for just £75.72, which was well below the regular £119.99 price.
However, the online retail giant has now gone back on that price, informing pre-order customers that “the price was displayed incorrectly”, but not before cancelling their orders.

The Xbox One Elite Controller was announced at E3 2015 and is aimed at professional gamers or those wanting a more customisable gameplay experience.
Microsoft’s upcoming high-end controller has been designed in conjunction with competitive gamers and allows you to swap between a variety of metal thumbsticks and D-pads.
There’s a new faceted D-pad and the ability to add four interachangeable paddles to the back of the Xbox One controller.
You can assign a wide range of inputs to each paddle using a new app coming to Xbox One and Windows 10.
There’s also Hair Trigger Locks, which allow you to fire more quickly as it stops the trigger movements after the shot meaning you can get ready for the next one.
Each trigger has its own Hair Trigger Lock for independent control, with more fine tuning available within the app.
The Xbox One Elite controller will start shipping in the UK and US in early October.
