Withings Activité Pop UK release date and price confirmed

Withings’ latest wearable is UK-bound with the manufacturer confirming the Activité Pop will hit British retailers later this month for under £120.

A more affordable spin off to the leather strap and sapphire glass incorporating Activité, the Pop will line up a full £200 cheaper than its premium sibling at just £119.95.

Despite its heavily reduced price tag, the Activité Pop has retained all of the smart tracking capabilities of its big brother.

Waterproof to 30 metres, the wrist-based wearable features a collection of sensors, capable of recording all of your daily activities, from steps taken and a distances covered to calorie burn, sleep and even swimming strokes.

Although the Pop will be given a limited US release today, January 5, the Moto 360 and Apple Watch rival will not hit the UK until ‘late January’, the company has told TrustedReviews.

For those eager to snap up the device, however, UK pre-orders are available now through the Withings online store.

If you can wait until the wearable hits retailers’ shelves, you will have to head to certain outlets. The Pop will be exclusively available through Currys and PC World as well as London’s luxury department store, Harrods.

Styled like a traditional watch, the Activité features a pair of dials. While the primary dial is used to tell the time, the small, secondary dial acts as a zero to 100 per cent goal indicator. Goals can be set through the dedicated app where more detailed feedback can also be viewed.

“We’ve paired Activité’s elegant Parisian design with fun-to-wear materials and pop colors in order to create a very personal device that people would want to wear and never take off,” said Cédric Hutchings, CEO of Withings. “It is time wearables step up to what they claim to be.”
