Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is over 200 hours long
CD Projekt Red has confirmed the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is over 200 hours long.
You better clear your calendar if you want to play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunter in its entirety.
According to Senior Game Designer, Damien Monnier, the game will require over 200 hours of investment if you take the completionist route.
“If you do everything I’d say 200+ hours”, revealed Monnier on Twitter.
We’re certainly not surprised by the scope of the Witcher 3, especially as there’s a rumour the game has a whopping 50GB install size on PS4.
Just to put that into perspective, Assassin’s Creed Unity is a 38.2GB install, Dragon Age: Inquisition is 41.4GB and the largest we’ve seen is Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition with a whopping 58.4GB install size.

CD Projekt Red also said earlier this year that it intended to create an “open-world game where there were no boundaries. Where our artists could do whatever they wanted”.
Previously the developer had said the game featured over 100 hours of gameplay, but it seems that’s been upped since then.
Apparently just the main storyline itself will take around 50 hours to complete, so even if you’re not going to explore all the side quests you’re still looking at a sizeable time sink with the Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 19.
