The Windows Phone 8.1 camera app redesign has been shown off in a leaked video.
It seems Microsoft is going to give the camera app a major redesign with Windows Phone 8.1, with the app strongly resembling Nokia’s own Lumia camera app.
From the looks of the video posted by UnleashThePhones, the Windows 8.1 camera app will be very similar to that offered on devices like the Nokia Lumia 1020 and Nokia Lumia 925.
Down the left hand side of the app, you’ll have access to shortcuts to various settings like flash and camera selection.
On the right hand side is an on-screen shutter button, video recording toggle, quick access burst mode button and access to a further options menu.
Within this menu, you’ll be able to customise which shortcuts appear in the viewfinder on the left hand side, and reach more video and photo settings.
The photo settings menu lets you change ISO, exposure value, scene selection and the period of time unsaved burst photos can be stored for. Within this menu you can also adjust the white balance, aspect ratio and toggle the focus assist light.
If you’re looking to record some video footage, the menu lets you toggle a recording light and continuous focus mode, set the white balance and change the video mode from the standard 720p.
Access to the Lenses feature is still included if you were a particular fan of Nokia Smart Cam or Bing Vision for example.
Other rumoured Windows Phone 8.1 features include the hotly tipped Cortana voice assistant, which appeared in another leaked video earlier this month.
The new mobile OS from Microsoft is also said to offer a new keyboard Swiping feature, a new Internet Explorer 11 browser and a notifications hub or “Action Centre”.
