White Xbox One console leaks ahead of potential October release

A white Xbox One could be heading for a consumer release, as the lighter toned console leaks as part of a Sunset Overdrive bundle.

Although the PS4 rival is currently only available in its traditional black form, a white Xbox One was previously handed out to all Microsoft employees who worked on the console’s development and launch.

Now, however, French retailer Micromania as hinted that the white Xbox One could be heading for a consumer launch this October alongside the platform exclusive game, Sunset Overdrive.

Prematurely popping up on the seller’s website before being hastily removed, the white Xbox One has been tipped for an October 28 release priced €399.99 (£319.27).

Although Microsoft has yet to confirm any plans for a consumer release of the white Xbox One, with the company to hold its own Gamescom 2014 press conference next week, it has been suggested the console could enter the realms of reality sooner rather than later.

Looking to maintain footing with its market rival, a white Xbox One could land within weeks of the white PS4.

The pale PlayStation has already confirmed to be heading to market in celebration of the Destiny release on September 9.
