White PS4 sells out ahead of launch

The white PS4 is proving a hit ahead of tomorrow’s official release, with the lighter toned console selling out online.

With the white PS4 being launched to celebrate the arrival of Destiny, retailer GAME has listed the blanc PlayStation as ‘out of stock’.

With the seller holding exclusive rights to the albino console in the UK, this lack of online availability is a serious blow to eager consumers.

Although GAME has yet to detail when, or indeed if, it expects new stocks of the white PS4 console – which comes bundled with a copy of Destiny – to be available, we would anticipate the retailer has kept sufficient stock back to handle tonight’s in-store midnight openings.

The white PS4 is set to be made available through high street stores at one minute past midnight this evening.

The console was announced back at E3 in June. It is expected that the lighter coloured Xbox One rival will come as a standalone console in the near future once the Destiny excitement has died down.
