Vulcan Titanium is an 18-in-1 culinary multitool

Is this the ultimate multitool? It’s certainly close.

The Vulcan Titanium is small enough to fit in your pocket, yet packs an incredible 18 functions. These are (deep breath): knife, fork, spoon, bottle opener, can opener, match striker, tie loop/carabiner loop, hex wrench, rope holder, ruler, screwdriver, square wrench, pry bar, phone stand, grab hook, saw, rope cutter and cutting blade.

Phew.

If you’re going camping, it should prove invaluable for everything from starting a fire to eating your dinner.

It’s made from titanium, so it’s strong, lightweight, non-toxic, durable, non-corrosive and resistant to heat.

It comes in four sections, but these slot together to make it small enough to slip into your jeans pocket.

It’s made in Glasgow too, so it’s British made. And it’s pretty affordable. A pledge of £40 will get you one when it ships in August. (The £36 early birds have all gone, unfortunately.) It’s raised more than 10 times its rather modest funding goal of £1,000 and still has 26 days to go, so let’s see how much money it can raise.

Even if you’re not going camping, it makes a smart lunch set for anyone who eats in the office or otherwise away from home. Though we wouldn’t advise using the bottle opener at lunchtime. Not unless you want an extremely sluggish afternoon.
