At the end of every year, Trusted Reviews scrutinises everything that’s passed through the testing labs to find the very best tech in the world. From phones to earphones, from TVs to tablets – there’s a winner to be found in each category.

And that’s where you come in.

We have whittled down the thousand plus reviews we’ve written over the past twelve months to create a long list of candidates for each category, and we need you to vote for the best. If you want to see the Samsung Galaxy S3 beat the iPhone 5 to win phone of the year, it’s up to you to let us know.

Voting only takes a few seconds, and you don’t have to sign up to any spam mailing lists, insert credit card details or send e-cheques to Nigerian princes. Voting also enters you into our competition to win a £500 prize – exactly what is TBC, although you can bet it’ll be £500 of gadget gold.

Voting will take place over the next month. Once all the results are in, we’ll trim down these long lists to sets of three runner-up contenders.

Then the tricky part starts. The Trusted Reviews team and select experts from the tech industry lock themselves in a room and argue about which should win until either a victor is found or there’s no-one left alive. Thankfully, the Trusted Reviews Awards are yet to cause their first fatality.

This year’s awards are sponsored by everyone’s favourite online auction site eBay.
