Vodafone Smart Tab is a 4G slate that’s easy on your wallet
Vodafone has launched its own LTE-friendly tablet, and it’s cheaper than your average slate.
The new Vodafone Smart Tab 4G is being peddled for a wallet-coddling £125, or an even lower £29 should you pick up a £17 per month contract from the provider.
The network’s new kit is designed to fend off cheap-as-chips rival slates like the brand new Tesco Hudl 2.
Vodafone says the tablet brings you ‘everything you’ll need from a tablet without the hefty price tag’.

The Smart Tab pairs this 8-inch HD display with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor tucked away inside. It’s worth noting that the Hudl 2 trumps this with its 1.83GHz Intel Atom chip.
There’s also 8GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear-facing snapper, and a relatively hefty 4060mAh battery.
It’s not a bad looking device either, sporting a svelte 7.9mm profile, slimmed-down front bezels, and a donut-dodging weight of just 309g.
The device currently runs on the latest version of Android KitKat although we’d imagine Android 5.0 Lollipop will shortly be in tow after Google’s announcement last night.
The device comes in a singular colour option – black – and is available right now from Vodafone.
