Get free access to Amazon Prime Video with Vodafone
You can now get free access to Amazon Prime Video with Vodafone’s ‘Red Entertainment’ mobile plans, meaning cheap access to shows such as The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Transparent and yes — The Grand Tour.
It used to be easy picking a mobile network. You just picked the handset that you wanted, worked out how many texts, minutes and GB of data you use a month, and searched high and low for the best deal.
But there are an increasing amount of freebies that networks are throwing in, such as Vodafone’s Red Entertainment, which bundles a free subscription to a streaming service in with your contract.
The addition of Amazon Prime Video brings the total number of options to four, with the others being Spotify Premium, Now TV (Entertainment) and Sky Sports Mobile TV.
Amazon Prime’s £6.99 monthly fee isn’t the most expensive subscription out of the bunch (that honour goes to Spotify Premium’s £9.99), but depending on your interests it could be a lot more valuable.
From looking at Vodafone’s website, contracts with a Red Entertainment add-on appear to command a small price premium — although unfortunately, there aren’t two plans that are directly comparable. It’s hence not quite completely free, but it’s definitely worth it if you are going to opt for a bigger data bundle anyway.
